This year, the CMLA AGM was the most attended AGM there has ever been
since we started the CMLA.
It was good to see so many people taking an active interest in the
administration of the league and the dialogue was healthy.
I’d like to welcome two new Executive members on board,
Steve Taylor and Lisa Walker.
I’d also like to take this opportunity to thank three of our past
CMLA Executive members for their service to the CMLA;
Terry Weiss, Mark Brown and Mary Weller.
Many projects are in the works for 2012, with hopes of serving
the players and the league even better.
The Executive is already planning its first meeting to get the ball
rolling for next year.
Stay tuned to the website for news, registration dates and
enjoy the hockey season.
For those of you who are playing on travel teams that will be
competing in the U.S.A. in the off season, best of luck and enjoy the experience!
Yours in Lacrosse,
Rodney Braun, President

2011 ZONE 6 CHAMPIONS
Message from our VP Rep.
I am very proud of our program.
2 years ago, we pulled INT when we started the Junior C program as there
were not enough players to sustain both.
Most centers in Ontario can’t run both programs due to numbers.
Last year we brought 1 INT team back as a shared program with Junior C and
both teams were very successful,
This year we did not want to risk having kids miss out if they wanted to play,
we opened it up to 2 INT teams and both have had a great season, struggling
at times with small benches, but the kids are playing.
I am so pleased to see the older kids continue to enjoy the game and it shows
that in our 10th anniversary, Clarington has managed to do it right.
BOTH INT teams won the zone championship and our Jr C team finished first
in their divisions.
Go Gaels Go!
Kelly
